▼「芸術的アンサンブルの創出とその成長」プロジェクト アート・ワークショップで参加者募集 （2006.12.2, 16）
本プロジェクトでは、現代に見合ったコミュニケーションのあり方を模索するために、さまざまな芸術実践を試みています。１２月にはニューヨークから研究者を招き、慶應義塾大学三田キャンパスと日吉／矢上キャンパスでアート・ワークショップを開催し、２つの会場間でどのようにして「共感」を育みうるかを検証する予定です。
本ワークショップに参加してくださる大学１年生・２年生を募集します（８名まで）。参加してくださる方は ensemble [at] dmc.keio.ac.jp あるいは akato [at] dmc.keio.ac.jp までご連絡ください。

▼DMC機構、国際映画祭「東京フィルメックス」（11/17～26）の映像配信に技術協力 （2006.10.26発表）
DMC機構は国際映画祭「第7回東京フィルメックス」（会期11/17～26）における動画配信に最新のデジタル・メディア技術を提供し、アジアの映像産業の発展に寄与します。DMC機構では動画配信プラットフォーム「VOLUMEONE」を、デジタル・コンテンツの公開と配信を容易にし得るものとして 2006年5月に公開し、公立美術館と共同で実証実験も開始しています。今回は、これにポッド・キャスティングやニュース配信機能を新たに加え、東京フィルメックスがこれまでに蓄積したコンテンツや映像関係者の声を臨場感溢れる動画でお届けします。

▼世界初！4K映像による多地点オンラインゲームの配信実験に成功
―東京国際映画祭 digital TIFFシンポジウムにて実施―（2006.10.23）
DMC機構は10月23日、DMCスタジオを含む4会場でネットワーク対戦する「プレイステーション 3」ゲーム機の画面映像を、ネットワークを利用して複数会場に配信する実験に参画し、三田キャンパスの東館6階の300インチスクリーンにも、4会場のゲーム映像が映し出されました。この世界発の試みは開催中の第19回東京国際映画祭（会期10/21～29）のdigital TIFFシンポジウムの一部として行われ、4K映像技術の応用の新たな可能性を示すものとして注目を集め、多くのゲームファンが観戦しました。

DMC機構が協力する「日本OCWコンソーシアム（JOCW）」は2006年10月に4大学・2機関が参加し、19団体が加盟する組織に成長し、OCW国際コンソーシアムの中でも成長モデルとして注目されています。全会員が10 月31日、代表幹事校の慶應義塾大学の三田キャンパスに集い、第1回のJOCW総会を開催しました。また、JOCWのWEBサイトでは会員大学コンテンツの横断検索、各大学の人気コース紹介などの新たな企画をスタートさせています。

8月末に開催された「第5回 DMC国際シンポジウム―融合：文化創造社会に向けて―」では、ディスカッションワークショップ「トーキングサークル」を実施しました。世界各国に設置されているグローバルスタジオから、日本・中国・韓国・米国・英国の研究者が参加し、「コンテンツデザイン」「創造社会におけるメディア融合」「自律分散創造社会 」の３つのテーマについて活発な議論を行いました。

同シンポジウムでは文化創造社会に向けたマニフェストを発表しました。マニフェストは世界初の試みとして、英国、韓国、中国、日本の4カ国から研究者がオンライン上で同時にサインを行いました。マニフェストには、登壇者だけでなく会場の出席者からも賛同の声をあげていただきました。これからの文化創造社会に向け、DMC機構では賛同者を更に募っていく予定です。
