DMC機構では「タケシ学院第1回講義：WEBアニメを作ろう！」を、小学3～6年生を対象に開催します。

フジテレビのホームページ上で圧倒的な人気を誇るWebコミックコンテンツ 『少年タケシ』と、NPO法人「CANVAS」と「慶應義塾大学デジタルメディア・コンテンツ統合研究機構」とが手を組んで、子供向けワークショップを開催します。
第1回は「Webアニメをつくろう！」と題し、人気のデジタルコミック作家陣が子どもたちと一緒にWebアニメを制作します。制作したWebアニメは『少年タケシ』特設ページに掲載されます。日本の次世代を担うアニメ、デジタルコンテンツ産業に触れるための入門編として、簡単なアニメの作り方や、デジタル作品制作の楽しさを遊びながら体験していただきます。
なお、今回のワークショップは、DMC 機構による「デジタル知財プロジェクト（DIPP：Digital Intellectual Property Project）」の「デジタルキッズ」（子どものデジタルコンテンツと知財をテーマとする研究）の一環として開催されるものです。

「コンテンツ政策フォーラム：日本は「世界」とどう向き合うべきか？ －アメリカ年次改革要望書、保護期間延長論、非親告罪化を手がかりに－」

▽開催趣旨
日本の著作権保護期間の延長論議は、2002年、アメリカからの外交要求を受ける形で実質的に高まりました。要求が記載されたのは、同国の「年次改革要望書」。これは、司法改革・郵政民営化など「数年後に日本で何が起きるかが書いてある」とさえ言われる外圧の象徴的な存在です。ほかにも、「著作権侵害の非親告罪化」「私的複製・教育例外規定の制限」など、日本への多くの改善要求が挙げられます（アメリカ側「年次改革要望書」仮訳20頁ほか）。これに対して、アメリカ自らは、古い作品には死後70年を適用せず、著作者人格権を正面から認めていないなど、自国のやり方を通しているように見えます。
これまで日本で著作権の国際調和、「グローバル化」が語られる場合、そこでは往々にしてヨーロッパもしくはアメリカ主導のモデルが意識され、基調色は権利保護の強化でした。これに対して、海賊版対策などの権利保護の重要性を認識しつつ、かつての欧米モデルとは一線を画して、作品流通や新たな創作の促進も重視する「日本モデル」「アジアモデル」を追及すべきだという声もあります。いったい日本は、著作権をめぐる様々な問題で、何をゴールとし、どのように、アメリカ、アジア、そして世界に向き合っていくべきなのでしょうか。日本の進むべき道を考える「真夏の夜の公開トーク」です。

DMC機構では2007年7月24日、「デジタル著作権ワーキンググループ」の第1回会合を開催しました。本ワーキンググループは、デジタル時代の新しい著作権制度を提案することを目的として、デジタル知財プロジェクトの活動の一環として設けられたものです。第1回会合では、早稲田大学客員准教授の境真良氏が「デジタル環境下でのコンテンツの社会的取扱いに関する法的枠組み」というテーマで発表を行いました。

DMC機構では2007年7月10日、「放送・通信法制ワーキンググループ」の第1回会合を開催しました。本ワーキンググループは、デジタル時代の通信・放送法体系の世界的モデルを提案することを目的として、デジタル知財プロジェクト（DIPP）の活動の一環として設けられたものです。第1回会合では、DMC機構教授の中村伊知哉氏が「2015年の通信放送法体系試案」というテーマで発表を行いました。

機構設計によるプロジェクト・DMCシステム構築プロジェクトの嶋津恵子准教授らは、慶應義塾大学150周年事業「復活！慶應義塾の名講義」の「フォローアップサイト」を開発しました。このSNSはブログには珍しい「手書き」のインターフェースを採用し、論点の定まった議論を深め、世代を超えた交流を促すことを実現するものです。
