DMC機構では2007年10月12日、「コンテンツ政策フォーラム：著作権保護期間延長の経済効果 －事実が語るもの」を開催することになりました。ご関心をお持ちの方はぜひご参加ください。
「コンテンツ政策フォーラム：著作権保護期間延長の経済効果 －事実が語るもの」

▽開催趣旨
著作権保護期間の延長の是非を考えるとき、議論の前提条件として確かめておくべきことがある。
著作権保護期間を延長するとどれくらい著作者の収益が増えるだろうか。パブリックドメイン化したときの利益はどれくらいあるのだろうか。保護期間を伸ばすかどうかの二者択一以外の解決方法はないのだろうか。これらの問いは賛成にしろ、反対にしろ確かめておくべきことである。
そうした問いに対し、できるだけ客観的な資料と論理を踏まえて議論することを試みる。今回は総勢12名の論客が、堂々4時間30分のシンポジウムで経済学の視点から著作権の徹底分析と制度設計に挑みます。

▼ 『デジタルキッズ』オンライン映像・デジタル音楽ワークショップ開催のお知らせ （2007.9.30）
DMC機構はデジタル知財プロジェクト・デジタルキッズの取り組みとして、特定非営利活動法人CANVASと共催で、子どもによる映像制作プロジェクト「『ガキネマ』オンライン映像編集ワークショップ」及び、デジタル音楽制作プロジェクト「『おとラボ』かえるのうたをかえるデジタル音楽リミックスワークショップ」の2つのワークショップを開催します。この取り組みを通して、子どもたちには、映像と音楽の編集を楽しみながら、デジタル時代の表現力を育み、知的財産・著作権について学んでもらいます。
▽開催概要
(1) 『ガキネマ』オンライン映像編集ワークショップ
・ワークショップの概要：
子どもたちはグループごとに、動画共有サイトを兼ねたネット上の映像編集ソフトを使って、“トウキョウ”をテーマとした新しい映像作品を制作します。ネット上に共有されている誰もが利用可能な映像素材の中から、テーマに合った素材を探し出し、組み合わせ、効果音等をつけて、オリジナル作品を作ります。作品は、ネットで世界に公開します。
・日程：2007年9月30日（日）10:00－17:00
・会場：慶應義塾大学三田キャンパス東館 6F「Global Studio」
・対象：小学3年生～中学3年生 定員：15名

(2) 『おとラボ』かえるのうたをかえる デジタル音楽リミックスワークショップ
・ワークショップの概要：
子どもたちは、パソコンの音楽編集ソフトを使って、パブリックドメインになっている民謡「かえるのうた」をリミックスした音楽作品を制作します。ネット上に共有されている誰でも利用できる音楽素材の中から、リミックスに利用したい素材を探し出し、編集し、効果的なエフェクトをつけて、「かえるのうた」のリミックス作品を完成させます。作品は、ネットで世界に公開します。
・日程：2007年10月7日（日）10:00－17:00
・会場：慶應義塾大学三田キャンパス東館 6F「Global Studio」
・対象：小学3年生～小学6年生 定員：15名

DAAS（Digital Archives Anything in Space）プロジェクトでは、ブラジル日系移民資料のデジタル化とインターネット上のアーカイブ構築について、立教大学ラテンアメリカ研究所らと共同で研究を進めています。遠山緑生DMC機構専任講師は現地調査のため訪伯し、2007年9月14日に国際交流基金サンパウロ日本文化センターで講演を行いました。この模様はサンパウロの日系メディアで取り上げられました。
